Kantilal Shah lived a long and joyous life. He was a simple and humble man who enjoyed the company of people and the art of conversation. He immigrated to the US in 1985 and seeing the lack of activities for the elderly, he decided to help seniors by bringing them together as a community through activities and regular meetings at DFW Hindu Temple.

Eventually In 1995, with the help of IANT, he started the senior citizen forum to connect seniors and to educate them about healthcare laws and government benefits. He then initiated and planned to build the senior citizen community (Seva Court) near the temple so elderly people could go do seva together.

In 2007, he started Sadvichar parivar, which is a group where senior couples meet once a month for kirtan and gathering. He was also an active member of Vaishnav parivar from 1985 to 2015. In 2012, he inspired the formation of the DFWKP and the rest is history.

We will miss his unconditional love and will always be inspired by his love and dedication to our community.
